Sibling Link on BBC South East Today
To honour World Mental Health Day (WMHD) 2019’s focus on suicide prevention, Brighton-based Sibling Link, the mental health peer support group, launched a new blog page on its website www.siblinglink.co.uk. The Sibling Link blog went live on the 10th October 2019 to coincide with WMHD, with the first post featuring Brighton and Hove Samaritans and what it does to help those who need immediate mental health support.

We are a peer support group for anyone over 18 with a brother or sister who has struggled with mental illness. Sibling Link runs monthly meetings in Brighton which allow a safe space to talk. Meanwhile, Sibling Link’s walk and talk peer support group meets monthly and is aimed at anyone bereaved by suicide. Providing a free mental-health resource Sibling Link is now part of the Brighton and Hove council’s Mental Health Carers’ Working Group.
